' t o r u c h ' is a lamp especially for kids. When I was a kid, I was scared of switching off the light in the night. Applying the basic physics experiment of Cartesian Diver, I made the 'switching' experience more delightful.

The journey started from a question: what is 'good User Interface!? Should it really be something as smoothly fit to our life as we almost forget about its existence?  
Cartesian Diver is well-known physics experiment to understand Pascal's law and Archimedes's principle. The letters are modelled based on calculations on the scientific journal, 'Syringe-worked mermaid : Computational Fabrication and Stablization Method for Cartesian Diver' by Amy Koike et al. 
Considering the use by kids, making  t o r u c h  with silicon is ideal for its soft texture. Therefore, as demonstration, I designed the final output image with silicon.
